The purpose of this site is to create awareness and education to anyone who wants to know more about the moths of the Florida Keys. There has been so little taxonomic work done in the Keys which makes us certain that we are only just beginning to understand the diversity of the moth fauna here. For that reason, if you have any questions about moths in the Keys, are looking to identify a moth species you have seen, or have any data to add to this site including new findings or an identification for one of moths on our "UFO" page, we welcome you to email us at: David@keysmoths.com and we will get back with you as soon as we can.

 

Also, if you would like to contribute to the project, it would be welcomed. Since 1998, all expenses of the project including lodging, travel, food, curating and lighting equipment etc, have been out of pocket so any financial support to this effort would be a blessing. Email us if you wish to learn more as to how to support the project. Financial contributions are not tax deductible at this point.

 

I've been thrilled to explore the moths of the Florida Keys over the last 15 years or so. With new species popping up all the time, its truly exciting to invest time and effort to this cause. I'd love to personally connect with you if you have interest in the moths of the Keys. Looking forward to hearing from you!
