Adult male
Description: 38-42 mm. This is a large sulphur. Males are bright yellow above with hooked forewing tips and a small tail on the hind wing. There is a small black spot on the forewing. Females have the same wing shape but are either pale yellow or cream colored.
Habitat and Distribution: This butterfly is occasionally found as a stray in South Florida. There are records from Stock Island, Big Pine Key and Key Largo
